Surrey Girls Socials: Community, confidence & connection

Surrey Girls Socials was created to help women connect, build friendships, feel included, and enjoy new experiences in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Our community is designed to bring women together through relaxed, enjoyable social events where friendships can grow naturally without pressure or judgement.

Whether you are new to the area, looking to expand your social circle, rebuilding confidence, or simply wanting to meet like-minded women, Surrey Girls Socials offers a safe and positive space to connect.

At its heart, SGS is about kindness, inclusivity, confidence, wellbeing, and genuine connection.

We host both free meet-ups and paid ticketed events throughout Surrey and surrounding areas.

Surrey Girls Socials is open to women aged 18 years and over.

While most of our events take place across Surrey, we also host some events in surrounding areas including parts of Hampshire and Berkshire.

Whether you come alone or with friends, we aim to create a welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable and included.

We organise a wide variety of social events throughout the year to suit different interests, personalities, and comfort levels.

Our events may include:

• Coffee mornings and brunches
• Walks and wellness meet-ups
• Pub and restaurant socials
• Arts and crafts activities
• Pilates and fitness classes
• Seasonal and themed events
• Games nights and community socials

We aim to offer a mixture of relaxed, low-pressure meet-ups alongside more energetic and activity-based events, so there is something for everyone.

Surrey Girls Socials is open to women aged 18 years and over.

We welcome women of all ages and backgrounds and aim to create an inclusive community where everyone feels comfortable and supported.

Our events attract a wide variety of age groups, and we also organise some meet-ups specifically suited to different interests, comfort levels, or age demographics where appropriate.

Whether you are attending in your 20s, 40s, 50s, 60s, or beyond, you are very welcome within our community.

Tickets are generally non-refundable unless an event is cancelled by Surrey Girls Socials or where required under applicable consumer law.

As a small independent business, event costs, venue bookings, materials, and supplier arrangements are often paid in advance, which means we are unable to offer refunds for non-attendance or change of mind.

Where possible, tickets may be transferable to another individual if we are notified in advance. Please contact us if you are unable to attend an event.

It is completely normal to feel nervous before attending a new social event, especially if you are coming alone.

Many of our members attend solo for the first time, and we aim to create a friendly, relaxed, and welcoming environment where everyone can feel comfortable at their own pace.

There is never any pressure, and our events are designed to be inclusive and supportive.

 Surrey Girls Socials aims to create a respectful, welcoming, and supportive community both online and at events.

Members are expected to communicate kindly within group chats, community spaces, and events. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, abusive behaviour, or inappropriate conduct may result in removal from the community or cancellation of membership. 

Members are expected to respect the privacy and boundaries of others within Surrey Girls Socials community spaces.

Please do not:

• share screenshots of private conversations without permission; 
• share personal information about other members; 
• post photographs or videos of others without consideration for their privacy preferences; or 
• use community spaces in ways that may make others feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
